Just how fast is this boat???

Had the new to me 201xl out this weekend for a little. First time I have been able to fish in it since I have had it. This boat impresses me more each time I am in it. The mid range punch in this boat is incredible. It hops over boat wakes better than the 06' 20I, and this boat is fast. I had 2 people in the boat, with a ton of tackle with 50 gallons of petro and got to 77.5gps and it was still climbing.
Just curious, how fast is this boat motor combo? (08'201xl / 08250proxs)
I'm guessing there couldnt have been too much left?

Those speeds sound great!!!!! Best mine has ever done loaded the same as you mentioned was 74. Best top speed with one person has been 78. I have been told that I carry too much stuff and maybe, just maybe, could lose a few pounds

The 201 Stratos gets much better top speeds with an Etec but the two Mercurys that I have had on them perform nicely and the fuel and oil useage are fantastic.

1 person and a light load the 201 like yours will run 81'ish with the 250 Pro XS. This is with the right setup and right conditions.
