I'm probably going to be putting an Evinrude Intruder on my 20V Bullet. I'm wanting to know which main harness will work with the engine, as I will have a custom shifter already installed. Mercury will be coming off, is there any reason I can't use the mercury tach thats in the boat? Thanks
What year intruder? I think you will find you will have to get the gauges as well, trim and system check for the tach.... As for the harness, it will all have to be change out as well..... and it ain't no fun at all going from one to the other, at least for me it isn't!
its a '93 model, I believe its pre system check. All I really need is a working tach and WP gauge. I may try to put another merc on the back but the engine is here and can be put on. still ain't decided yet
You won't be happy with the truder wait for the merc.
Chad2002xrd, I have a complete wire harness I just took off my boat in Nov. Throught that was problem with motor it was not It is a omc orginal not after market but for one with a system check gauge will sell it cheap if you need one i haave it
