    Can't see!!!

Ok, I have a 176xt, I can't see the empty trailer while backing because I have a small truck with Tonneau cover and me being short doesn't help either...lol. By the time I can see the trailer in the mirrors it is too late.

Anybody have a suggestion of what type of guides I could install on this trailer and where?

    Thanks!

Have you thought about adding towing mirrors to your mirror's?

I have not, but I will look into that. I am better backing while looking over my shoulder though.

    Thanks

Lots of places sell those guide-ons made from PVC. Maybe you could fabricate something like that to add when you need them.

i know this sound stupid but it works. I have a F250 king cab with a small lift kit. My previous boat was a Hydrasport vl475 with a tiny trailer. I could never see it either. I went to walmart and bought one of those 6 ft tall bicycle flags and drilled a small hole (about 1/16) in the back right side of the trailer....instant fix...always knew where it was then....

you can add one of these to your trailer. Then you can quickly insert and remove a atv flag pole...

You can buy a wireless back up camera in just about any auto parts store. Place the eye above the hitch and that should help you out.

You could also learn to back using the outside mirrors.

I learned using my outside mirrors, took a couple weeks but now u can't tell i have only owned a boat a few months.

You can adjust them to see the trailer, its the cheapest way to go,

    just practice mostly.

I've always just used my mirrors. Usually I pick one of the lines in the ramp and try to get the tires going down that line. Using the mirrors is pretty easy once you get used to it.

They make a product that is like an antenna it has a magnetic base and can be extended a couple feet high that has a bright yellow starfoam(SP) ball at the end. You can place them on top the trailer fenders and they will not get in the way of loading or unloading your boat then take them off when your ready to hit the road. Bass Pro sells them or if you have a Harbor Freight close you can get them for about half the price as BPS.I think they are about $10 at H.F. Hope this may help.
