Same Stratos model...486 SF...same price.....but:
1st boat is one year old and has a 150 Opti - low hours and well cared for
2nd boat is brand new leftover...same year as boat #1...but has a 150 Yam VMax 2S
The season is only 4-5 months long up here and based on my past experience, I'll use 60 gal. of fuel per month.
What would you do?

When you say Yamaha 150 2S are you referring to a Series 2? If you are, then I'd say go with the new boat with the Yamaha. You get the all new warranties on the boat, motor, etc. If the other one is a year old, you are about out of warranty on your electronics and such.

I don't know if it's a Series 2 or ?? I should have said "2 stroke". The used boat has electronincs etc. warrantied thru April 2011, and the motor is warrantied thru 2013.

This boat will be used for fishing 60% of the time, and family cruising the other 40%. We don't do a whole lot of tubing, skiing, etc....but we do some.

Either does a good job....the Opti will be far more desireable in the long run.
