I am looking at a 2001 Javelin Renegade 20 with a Johnson 225 "High Output" motor. They are asking $15900 for it. It is in almost perfect condition. No scratches, etc. I haven't run the boat yet but obviously would before buying. They say it is a fast boat and runs 73mph. Also, it only has a single axle trailer.
My only issue centers around the motor. It is a motor with carburator versus fuel injection.

Great boats....and the Johnny 225 is a hoss. IMO the motor has a good reputation but does drink the gas.

The Johnson is a good reliable motor, but loves gas at WOT. Get a compression check done.
Great boat, the stratos 200 uses the same hull.
I have duel axles on my trailer and I wouldn't want a single axle, but a single axle would do the job.
73 mph sounds right. About what I get fully loaded.

That is an awesome boat and it will run at least 75 if it is setup correctly. The best thing about that boat is that it handles rough water extremely well. The price might be a little high for that boat unless it is loaded with up-to-date GPS/electronics and a newer trolling motor. You should also check the inside of the transom for support knees. Most of the R20's didn't have them when they were originally shipped. Many dealers installed them once they hit their showroom and some were sent back to the Stratos plant. If this boat doesn't have them installed, you should knock at least $2,500 off of the price. The C&O guys will be able to give you more detailed info about that transom upgrade.
I WILL PROBABLY HAVE MY 1999 JAVELIN RENEGADE 20 WITH 225 JOHNSON UP FOR SALE SOON. THE MOTOR WAS COMPLETLY REBUILT APPROX 1.5 YRS AGO. AT THAT TIME HAD 6 INCH HI JACKER PLATE INSTALLED. ALSO HAS HUMMINBIRD 797 WITH GPS AND SIDE IMAGING. HAS EAGLE 320 ON THE BOW. INSTALLED A NEW MINN KOTA MAXXUM 82LB TROLLING MOTOR LAST SUMMER. HAS DUAL AXLE TRAILER. WOULD PROB AS AROUND 11500 FOR IT. HAVE PUT OVER 6000 IN IT IN THE LAST 2 YEARS.
