Your dealer can get the rebuilt EMMs from the factory for a few hundred less, but there may be a waiting list. You can also contact the folks at dfitechnologies.com and they specialize in EMM repairs for a relatively reasonable price.
The "handful of 8's" in the error codes mean the capacitor for the CDI ignition inside the EMM failed. Usually the EMM will have a history of overheating at one time or another which weakens he capacitor at that time or times.

The only 1 other code that has appeared is #46, we unclogged the exhaust pressure sensor at that time.
The motor appeared to start using more fuel on the last 2 to 3 trips, with what looked like a trail of fuel around the transfom idling to and off the trailer.
