Bass Pro and Academy both have water seperator filter kits with a Mercury filter, will these work, not sure what the differance would be.

    Thanks

Thanks, for the info. Acdemy has the Tempo filters which has the best micron rating. but only has Mecury, I dont think it will hurt to these, for some reason Merc filters are easier to find around here.

To be honest with you, my Key West came with the Merc filter housing already installed from the dealer. I bought my boat from a Johnson / Evinrude mariner who was being taken over by MarineMax therefore, they tried to push everything Mercury they could but, only got me with the filter housing. Other than the filter, the boat is all I bought from them.
Me and my Peetie-pie done all of our rigging and installed the 1985 XP 150 oh happy day.

    Re: Water Seperator Filter (champman)

Truthfully the majority of the filters on the market are interchangeable because they are made by the same company just painted and labelled differently, we run a fuel filter/water seperator on every new boat we sell and have had great success with them, the 502905 filter can be interchanged with Wix filters, which is what we use, and can be purchased at your local autozone.
