The problem you will run into I believe is the amount of angle and setback of the back deck where the seats will mount. The newer seats actually overlap onto the back deck and if I'm not mistaken the SS series of boats have a different amount of height and angle from the back deck down the area where the base of the seats would go. There are other seats that will fit, but I don't believe the new styles from the 200/201's will.
C&O Marine will have about any seat you could possibly want and should be able to walk you through which ones can be retro'd into your 20SS.

Jason may have a point on the 201 seats. But, I'd sure like to have the 07-09 seats if I could. They are bolstered in the right places.
I wonder if the 08 285 seats would work? They don't have the overhang on the back deck and they are bolstered well.

Let me know what you come up with, I've been thinking of changing seats also. I have a 2001 so I'm thinking that what you can make work on the 2000 would also work on the 01.

I would love to put some of the 08 model seats in my 06 285. The only problem is they are very expensive.
That is a nice seat set up, I think I would add the center as well so it would still be a three seater.

That is a good observation. I did notice the new seats seem to be rounded in the back and it looked like the rear cover was cut to fit the seat back. Not too difficult to re make the gas tank cover and match the cut out. However it looks like the 2008 seat would fit well without any mods on the boat deck.
Anyone know ballpark $ for the three across seating from a 2008 285??
