C & O quick ?

Hey, i am sure you have seen me before on here. I have a Stratos 201 pro duo with the 250 xs, but I have a ? on a Ranger that I am restoring.

I have a 1996 150 Johnson Faststrike and i am having problems with the trim and tilt. There are 2 square relays (for trim up and trim down) and when you barely touch them into where they sit, the motor will go up or down depending on which relay you choose. However, when you plug the relay all the way in, nothing will work. I replaced the relays and it is still the same problem. Obviosly the trim and tilt motor works because when you barely touch the relays it will go up and down with no problem. I have a brand new throttle and the switch on the motor seems to be good as well. Any ideas?

I had the same problem with my fast strike. Don't know if this will help, but i replaced my relays 3 different times with the same results. What i did find out though, is i bought some electrical contact cleaner spray, and literally submerdged the relay harness. Then i took dialectric grease and coated my relays and also my harness. When i inserted the relays i took and just kinda pushed the wires under the plastic harness bracket to push the wires upon the relays. Mine was loosing contact when i pushed the relays down into the harness. Like i said dont know if this will be your problem, but worth looking at.
