    What prop should I try?

I'm running a 98 Javelin 400sd with a 2006 E-tec 225 HO. I am currently running a 28 Raker2. 79.5 mph,6100 rpms, 17-19 water pressure, 2 3/4 below pad. The hole shot is not that great. I have a 27 Tempest that I'm going to try but I would really like to get those rpm's down without losing speed. I figured I would try the Tempest to see if I would get a better hole shot since you can play with the pvs holes. Then if all goes well on holeshot try to find a 29. What do you guys think?

I think you have a happy tach........a 28 TXP w PVS plugs would do well.

I think if you have the tech plug the ETEC up you'll be closer to 5900 than 6100. The 28 TXP is a hard prop to spin and the pvs plugs will help the holeshot....that should do it. 29 Tempest is a turd.......don't waste time on it.

The 29 is a turd as Todd said, dont waste your money on one. One thing you might try is send that 27 Tempest to Rick Boger and let him do his magic on that prop, that will lower the rpms and probably pick u up a little speed.

Well its not my Tempest. I was going to try it and see how the holeshot is with it since it has the pvs holes. The Raker has those little holes and instead of drilling those out for pvs holes, I would rather get a different prop. I'm just going to try some right now.
