Yep....plate will gain 2-4 mph on that boat...definately worth it.
Just curios but what would a jackplate cost to install and is there any bad brands that I need to watch out for I have found some vance mfg priced pretty resonable?What size would you recomend?

I have the same boat, except mine has an XR6 150. I installed an 8" manual jack plate on mine a little over a year ago. Made a tremendous difference. I picked up about 6 mph, a much better hole shot, and alot better ride. I paid $100 for mine from a guy from this site. I installed it myself, really simple. hardest part was getting the height right. Hope this helps.
Also, 8" inch is the max for this boat.........according to Stratos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
