    Switching to a tiller steer...

I have a buddy that has a recently rebuilt 91 Evinrude 50, that was on his bowfishing rig, just occupying garage space. It's set up with controls but I think I can buy it cheap for a duck boat I'm thinking about buying. How much of a PITA is it to switch over to a tiller steer?

And where can I get what I need?

I'd like to get used to keep cost down. A salvage yard would be the place to look but there aren't any in the area so I need somewhere to call. Or other suggestions.

I'm thinking it might be tough to find unless it is the same setup as on a 40 tiller steer, which I assume would be more common

Run by Riverside Marine and talk to Steve see if he can help you out. They are in old Hickory.
