Has anybody taken out their dual console? I did a search but didn't find any write ups. Mostly I fish smaller inland lakes alone and would like the extra room. If it is easy then I can always put it back in before heading out to big water. (if I like my partner, but if he banged a spinerbait off my motor cowl last time out it will stay a single)
I see 3 large screws and 3 small ones, is that all?
Boat is an 07 with the "floating" consoles.

That's all that's holding it as far as bolts, but I believe from the factory they also have some sealant holding them in. It's not as easy to take the ones out where the factory installed them. If it was installed by the dealer it tends to be an easier job.

I took mine out of my 201 and it was not problem...If they are using sealant now and not double sided tape like they used on mine, then it may be harder to get it to let go......
Remove the bolts, get some wood wedges and a super sharp putty knife......drive the wedges in gently and use the putty knife to cut the sealer.
Tried to get it out over the weekend but was unsuccessful. The three stainless bolts that go into the gunnel have nyloc nuts on them and while I might be able to get the front 2 I don't have any idea how to reach the back one. Maybe it was installed before the put the top cap on? Or are they using really skinny kids that have 4 foot long arms at the Stratos factory?
