New boat. 201xl, 250pro XS, Trophy prop. I finally got on the water Monday and almost got my one hour in before the storms came. I'll be at Gaston tomorrow and will finish the first part of break-in. Will post numbers next week when I get back. Feels extremely strong out of the hole and through 5000rpms.

Well I finally got the boat on the water this week. Fished 2 tournaments this weekend at Lake Gaston. Finished 6th saturday with 12.45 and 3rd sunday with 11.11.
Boat ran great gps 74.7 @ 5800 rpms with full tank of gas and two anglers with tackle.

I just purchased a 2008 201xl stratos like yours. What height did you set your jack plate and what style of prop are you using to get that speed?

Mr. Bass, IM sent and from what I have been told by a very reliable source:

6" JP 3 1/4" Below the pad

8" JP 2 3/4" Below the pad

27 Tempest for top speeds

I have the 6 " jackplate, the prop shaft is at 2.75" and I am running a 26 trophy. This weekend I ran the boat full of gas(for a little while anyway) all of my tackle and me. It ran 76.7 at 6100 rpms. Holeshot is awesome even with the livewells full and midrange from 4000-5000 will set you back in your seat.

What is your water pressure? 6100 is getting close to the rev limiter.
I have the same set up, except a 8" plate, 2 3/4" below, but can only turn it to about 5870 and have 14-16 lbs WP. I am going to plug the top three holes on each side of the LU.

Water pressure is between 25 -30 psi. I think the limiter is 6250 or 6300
