282 Horn

I was reading another members post and it brought up a question of my own.

My boat has a horn under the controls. It is square, black and about 2" across. Have never seen a button or switch.

May just be a cover plate but I thought I would ask before I took things apart. Work has been very busy and I have not had much time to work on it.

That should be your alarm horn provided you have a Johnson/Evinrude engine installed. That should sound everytime you turn the key on. If not, I would repair. There are other things that can make the horn annunciate also.
