how to operate livewells for 07 285XL?

Can someone explain to me how to operate the livewells on my 2007 285XL. Is there a way to pump out the water? How do you set it to recirculate? Thanks

I don't know if your boat has pumpout on it. If it does, you'll have a red spray nozzle in your livewell. If you have a red one, pull it out, switch the valve to "recirc" (the valve is located beside the driver seat close to the cupholder), and turn your main pump switch "on".

For recirc, all you have to do is turn the valve switch (beside driver's seat close to cupholder) to "recirc". That valve should have RECIRC, EMPTY, and AUTO.

If it is turned on RECIRC is it supposed to be constant and AUTO is on a timer? should I turn on both aerator swithes for recirculate or just the main one? I guess I don't have a pumpout so is there any way to make it pumpout? How do I fill my weigh-in bags?

I have the same boat and I believe the main (port) pump is the one that works off of the recirculate, empty, and auto switch. The aux (starboard) pump only brings in fresh water. Open the rear hatch and check to be sure.

There is no pump out. Empty (drain) only.

so explain to me what it is that I need to do when i want to fill my livewells and have them recircualting. What switches do I turn on and do I turn the big switch over to AUTO or RECIRC? What does the AUTO do?
