Friend has a 2005 294 with a x-52 in dash ,want to either put a lms 520 or lms 480 in...Will we have to pull new power and transducer lines???Or is the x-52 stuff adaptable??

I have a friend that has a 06 294 that came with the X52 in the dash. He installed a LMS 480. If my memory is correct the transducer on the X52 plugged into his LMS 480. I was at his house when he was doing the install. He took a drimel tool and cut the hole out to make it fit.
He did not use a dash panel bracket to mount the unit. It is a very tight fit but can be done. He used the gimble knobs to hold the unit in place. There is barely enough room to get the knobs on after you get the unit in the panel. The gimble knobs fit tightly against the panel and hold it in place.
