How fast is your 200 PXL? What are you running (engine, prop, jackplate, etc)? Just wondering where mine stacks up.

2006 200 ProXL w/225 ETEC HO, 29 TXP - 78.15 GPS, 77 GPS every day normal load, 75 BFL tourney load. I never tweaked the setup and feel I could have touched 80 GPS.

Duane, which jackplate do you have?
I had the std 6" manual slidemaster plate on my 200 ProXL. Same as what I have my '07 201 now.

Runs 75.4 with 2 guys full tank of gas, and full tournament load.
If I run by myself @ 250+ lbs and all of my gear she'll hit 76.7 GPS.....

2.5" Below with a 26 tempest 75.5 Full Load, Full Fuel, just me... I have a 26Tro4 on its way. If I have no trouble spinning that I am going to a 27. I am hoping to get 77. something out of her and I feel she has it, just have to find that magical setup.
I am also getting a 27txp and will have pvs plugs put in so I can maintain the awesome holeshot I am getting out of the tempest. Tempest is stock right now, I am waiting on the Tro4 before I get it B&B.
My '05 200 Pro w/ 225 H.O. E-TEC was spinning a 28 Raker to 78.x, a 29 ASX (TXP) to 80 and a 30 Raker (no holeshot) to over 80. Those speeds are by myself with my gear.
In a BFL load situation, with two adults, full gear and full fuel, I would turn the 28 Raker to 76.
The boat was equipped with a 6" manual plate. I don't remember my engine height (I've had two boats since then), but I did some adjusting to get it to run that good.![]()

It seems on this particular hull the ho e-tec is defeintly the stronger motor.... I might have more and I am hoping so, but I am at the rev limiter with the 26 but most say I can't spin a 27? We'll find out. I still have 20psi's at 2.5" below but I am at 5950/6000 flickers back and forth constantly.... I am hopeing to put a 27 on raise it another .25" and get those RPM's at a steady 5950.....
Mine only has about two hours on it so I really don't know what it will do. Right now, I have a 225 HO Etec, 6" slide master with a 27 Tempest. It seems to want to run about 74 with a full tank of gas, all my gear, and just me. I have the 36 volt TM with 4 batteries. I have not played with the setup yet or any other props. It seems that most guys are able to get this boat to run 75 loaded and I think that is my goal too. With that in mind, most likely with my current setup, I am about 2 - 3 MPH off.
Has anyone seen these HO's get stronger or loosen up some after getting through the double oil phase?

Mine is loaded...12 rods, about 30 bags of worms, 7 3700 boxes full of crankbaits, about 30-40 jigs and spinnerbaits, helmet, spare prop, anchor, paddle, boat bumpers, life vests, 1/2" breaker bar and assorted sockets for changing props and jackplate heights, and a few ropes...![]()

My 200 Pro XL has been funny to me... i'm running a 225 Pro XS on my rig...
My best speed to date has been 77.5 by myself... 3/4 tank of gas and all my stuff and my partners stuff... my partner was getting my truck to go home...
With him in the boat we ran 75 and some change...
Since then it's been running about 74 and some change a tournament load and 76 and some change myself... I can do this with 2 props... a 27 Tempest at 5700 R's and a 25 Tempest at 6000... I need a 26 Tempest... anyone have one I can try?
Now latley... i've added more tackle to the boat and I need to change my plugs...
Currently my speed has dropped to 73 with 2 people, all our junk, and 50 gallons of gas... with a 27 Tempest at 5600... I threw the 25 on because the holeshot was better and I ran 74 at 6000 with the same load...
I definaltley think I need some plugs and I need a 26 Tempest to get my RPM's at the needed range where the motor makes peak power...
Needless to say, i'm super happy with my 225 Pro XS... everything is great about it except I have not been able to run what my old 200 Pro XL did regularly... then again, I believe my set-up isn't where it needs to be... I need that 26...
My next step is to send my 27 to Mark to have him work his magic...
Jose
I have a 2005 200ProXL/225HO DI. The last time I ran with a lightning lower unit it ran 79.7 (gps) at 5950 rpm with a 28 Raker worked by Mark, me by myself 250# full of fuel and a tournament load. This same day I blew my lower unit, and I have had a lot of lower unit problems so I went back with a magnum lower unit with a nose cone. After putting on the magnum with the nose cone I ran 77.5 (gps) at 5900 rpm. I ran just over 80 a couple of times with the lightning lower unit but not consistently, it would run 79+ consistently in the cool weather and cool water but 80 was allways hard to get.

Man.....I got stuff that HT doesn't even have a name for on mine!
I'm always glad to be a Guinnea Pig for them!
It's top secret......but I have a new Yammy.....sold my old hotrod....strokin up a new unit!
I finally got to spend some thime in my 07 200 XL.....by far the most fave Stratos I've ever had......it just feels more racy than my previous Pro XL's.
If they need anything else tested, you know where to find me and my Yammie.![]()

Every 07 201/250 HPDI we have on the staff is doing 78-79.7.......how much faster you want to go!
