294 / 200 HO

Hey guys new to the boards but have been lookin and following for over a year, seems like a great bunch of guys. My issue is I have 06 294 proxl with 200HO, great boat and motor, anyway,had fuel tank replaced by dealer cause of fuel smell in boat, had to replace carpet by pedestal, ofcourse does not match rest of rear deck.I am waiting on stratos to see if they will replace all of rear or if I am going to have to live with the mismatch.Boat is 9 months old ,am I out of line wanting the carpet correct?

Stay on top of your dealer. It is HIS responsibility to make it right.

DO NOT accept inferior work on a 9 month old boat.

Sounds like a warrenty issue to me, if the front deck carpet went bad they should make it match.

If they cant match it, then they should replace it all.

Your not out of line one bit. Match it all or replace it all. That isn't asking too much at all there.

What was done by your dealer to take care of the fuel smell? That seems to be a common thing with Stratos......I leave one of my rod lockers open, otherwise it stinks of gas

Replace it all or make it match. Stay on your dealer, it's their responsibility to make Stratos understand it's a warranty issue.

Still working with dealer and stratos on carpet issue, both say the are wanting to make it right, my problem was to the dealer that if carpet didnt match then why waste everybodies time installing it? stratos replaced fuel tank because of smell havent got boat back yet to see if that cured the problem. Thanks for everybodies response
