    Friend in need

    I've got a friend in my bass club,that has a 2000 20SS extreme with a Johnny 225HO motor.....I don't thnk he's got a plate,nor do I know his engine height.......he's running a 26 tempest prop.

All he's wondering is,what's a good top speed for that rig....right now,he gets 73-74 light with one guy...with 2 guys tourney loaded,he's still at near 70.

I know I don't have much info on his setup, but just wanted some feedback from you guys.

    Thanks in advance...except you,Steve

He's pretty good Todd. Maybe a tweak or 2 but not worth the extra $$. I feel jilted.

Thanks Fred.....I knew he was pretty close, but his brother has a 2006 201 with 225HO etec that kicks his butt......I said I'd ask for him,as he feels a smaller boat with a pretty strong motor should be close on speed.

Steve.....You sure do always add a ray of sunshine with your posts....geez.....I think it's time for a diaper change

The difference is the motor. If he put a 225HO E-Tec on his 20SS his brother would not kick his butt any more.

Those speeds are good for that combo. Same setup I had and mine was actually a hair slower. He should be happy. Todd if you want to race Steve you can borrow my boat anytime. I can't promise it, but it might edge him out in a race...
