I am having trouble keeping the steering wheel "centered" on the 285. On the trailer the motor is square and the steering wheel is as well. When moving the wheel doesn't always center with the straight travel/movement of the boat. There is no play in the hydraulics and is very tight. My dealer said that you should "jiggle" the wheel in the direction you want to center it. Is this the way to go? What is the best way to accomplish this with the Sea Star Pro system. Thanks guys!!
It's my understanding that this is just part of the hydraulic steering. No way to keep the wheel centered all the time.

389 hit it out of the park, You can get it back stright by twisting like a chinewalking boat.. After a few times you give up..:)
I think that's why they came out with the center twist steering wheels- no way to tell which way is straight. It bothers me at times too, was thinking about changing to the newer style wheels but decided not to waste the money-just live with it.
