    ZX200 Rocker Panel Question

I have a 2006 ZX200 and I ran into the problem with the factory panel going bad, so ordered a new rocker panel from Skeeter. Seems easy enough to install, 2 large harness connections plug right in. There are two other 2 prong harness coming off of the panel as well, not sure where they go (no wiring diagrams in the box, just a panel). Anyhow, plug in the 2 main harness wires and everything works fine when I turn the power on. The problem is the main power switch won't turn off, when I try to turn it off, light stays on. All of the other switches turn off and on just fine. When the power switch is in the off position (after having powered it on) all of the other switches still turn on and off as if the main power was on. The first time I plug the harnesses in without turning the main power on, it functions just fine and I don't get power to any other switch. The moment I turn on power, I can't turn it back off unless I unplug the harness. Any ideas? Josh

On the power switch there is a pink/white and pink/orange connected together, disconnect the pink/ orange and give it a try.

Disconnecting the pink/orange fixed the problem. Any idea what that wire is for, or was for on the old button panel?

Thanks a lot for the help.

I just did the same upgrade to a friends boat, did it affect your livewell timer as far as cycling on and off?

Glad i could help, i have no idea what the wire was for. I've been using the over priced switch panel like that for a year without any problems.

As far as the livewell timer it runs for a set amount of time, no high, med, low anymore.
