I've had my boat for a year--When should I change the oil in the foot?
Also, anyone who has recessed their trolling motor petal have any instructions or suggestions. I have the SX190.

I have same boat also and change mine at least once a year...somtimes 2....oil is cheap enough...

Initial Change on New Motor is 25 Hours then ever year or 100 Hours which ever comes first. Operators Manual has all the info in it.

Possibly a dumb question but what do you mean when you say "in the foot"?

I guess the lower unit. I change mine every October - November before it freezes here in the mid west.
