boat buckles on my '05 TZX200 - anyone use these?? Mounting??

wanting to mount boat buckles on the back of my trailer to speed up tie-down time. My trailer has two "arms" sticking right out the back with holes to hook the straps to. Unfortunately they are set up so that the boat buckles would be bolted on 90 degrees from the way they should be to be straight. How has anyone else mounted theirs?? Thanks in advance for any info!!

That is the same setup I have on my boat and I use them without any problems.

I mounted mine to the brackets with out adaptoers and works fine.

Thanks alot guys! I just wanted to make sure that I could go without the adapter and just live with the little bit of twist in the strap.

I use mine without any adapters at all. Just got to make sure they are mounted straight so you dont get any side wear on the straps.

I bought the 'L bracket adaptors' ..... and they never would stay tight.

So I pitched them and just mounted the Boat Buckles directly to that 'tab' ....... have not had a problem in the +2yrs now.

Here's mine. Like mentioned above, I gave up on those L-Bracket Adaptors and just bolted them straight and let the webbing twist 90 degrees.

Still no problems.

One thing I meant to add, it only tries to twist on the starboard side ........ never on the port side.

How well does it work hooking the straps to the jackplate? I like the idea of less holes in the transom.

Great, it hasn't came off the trailer yet.



As far as easy of ability to hook up ........ no different than any other 'transom mounted loop'.
