Looking to buy a new ZX 170 with a Yamaha 115hp 2 stroke. Can anyone give me some feedback on how fast this will run top end and if they like the motor/boat combo. Also, what about reliability on the motor?...thanks for any feedback..

i had one before i got my zx225 but it had a 90hp 4 stroke and it would run 44 wot, pretty sure they come standard with a 90 hp now

I am looking at 2, that are both 2011's so I have to assume that they do still make them. If you go to Townmarine.com and look at the new inventory page, you will see pictures. Thanks for your response

I just got some clarification on this..........The Max HP for the 170 used to be a 90, but Skeeter bumped it up to a 115 in 2011...So now there are ZX170's that have a 90 and some that have a 115hp V4...

Really? I have a 2010 Zx170 and a 115 would be a whole new world...
and its still a 16-8 hull with the same beam for 2011?
Where can this be verified online because ALL my 2011 Skeeter ZX170 searches produced zero references to 115hp..even this one...

BTW, my 90hp 4 stroke 2010 has a best light load cool water gps speed of 46.2 with the Turbo 1 (a 19 inch pitch)...the 115 2 stroke should hit 50mph IMHO...which would be impressive.

Now I am seeing legit posts that the 2012 TZX170 will be 115hp rated...wow wow...
guess I bought 6 months too soon...a nice affordable 16-8 hull with that gas sipper 4 stroke 115 pushing 50mph is sweet.
