Looking at trading for a 1993 200-sx.......have some newbie questions

Currently I own a 1987 procraft and its served its purpose by being a learner/starter boat.

Well, now I'm looking at getting a 93 20ft 200-sx that has a 200hp Yamaha ProV (not sure if the motor came stock on the boat or not). I know to check the floors and transom for soft areas and rot. My question is, what else should I be looking for?

What are the acceptable ranges for cylinder compression?

Here are a few pics of the boat. I would greatly appreciate it if you guys would look over them and tell me if you see any issues or anything that seems out of place? Like the "SKEETER" decal on the side of the boat. Is it supposed to be that big? The reason I'm asking is because I don't think I've ever seen one that big.

    Thank you in advance

Yes that appears to be the stock motor as it is the same as the picture in the brochure from that year. The SKEETER emblem appears to be a little large and probably not original. I believe that is around the year that Yamaha became owners of Skeeter, Thus the reason for the yamahammer on the back. I also believe the SX series was a left over version of the StarFire Hull as the ZX was the NEW HULL design. If it is solid it should be a nice fishing platform.

It should be a decent ride. I haven't been in a lot of bassboats but I can live with my 18'5" Starfire hull. That one should run mid 63-67 I would guess. I am sure the newer models are better, but hey, if we could afford newer we probably would be buying newer.

The prop on it is an aftermarket prop thats for top end. The current owner said he got it up to 68 with two other people in it. I've heard that, generally, the speedo's tend to be off so Im going to GPS it this weekend.
