    Jack plate question

    1994 150 zx with a 150 Merc I want to put a 10inch Jack plate on to improve performance. I need to know if the transom will support it.

    I would think that would be to much setback for that hull. I could be wrong. As for it being strong enough, if the transom wood core is in very good shape it should be ok.
