Basically in a nut shell .... the TZX had rocker switches and the ZX had push button ..... which in later years turned back to rocker switches.

Doug's product brochures help alot in figuring what years the names switched (I'm thinking '05 was the last year of TZX) and what year Skeeter went back to rockers (I'm thinking it was '09) ..... again, those years are off the top of my head.

the compartment latches and switches are the only differences i believe. i think 2003 and 2004 the 190s and 200s were TZX and the rest were ZX

The '05 190's and 200's were TZX as well ..... also, my lid latches are just like all the ZX boats with that 'edge/under lid squeeze' latch.

Mine have the plastic pull rings. Broke one of them. Not sure if I'm gonna replace it or all of them.

My '09 zx still has the push button so it may have been '10 that they went back to the rockers.

Chris ... I know what you mean. My Ranger had a deck extension that was completely enclosed. The deck side had a removable lid, that way you could use the enclosed space for storage (though not 'dry storage').

All that to say this .... it had a plastic handle and latch (which broke ) and I replaced it with a complete metal assembly ....... that way it matched the regular lids anyway (which all of them were metal).
