    2010 ZX190 w/ 150 HPDI PROP Questions

I finally got my new 150 HPDI motor broke in and moved jackplate up to 1 3/4" and the holeshot is fine but at 550 rpms the motor seems to almost to be over revving and speeds only around 50.I was just wanting to see if anyone with similiar setups have had same issues?I am not a fan of the 23 stock prop it came with and before I sell my old boat I am going to test run it with the 25 prop off my Pro-V and if thats the case Ill be in the market for a new prop if it performs better. Thanks

My guess is you are a little to high with the motor. I could be wrong, just a guess. What was it before you moved it?

    'moved the jackplate up 1 3/4" '

Is that your prop shaft height or jackplate seperation height?????????

i just recently moved it because I left it stock until I was able to get few hours into the break in period to actually get high enough RPMs.The 1 3/4" is the jackplate separation but I am just feeling like prop is restricting my overall speed.

I don't know how much of my info and testing would apply since my boat has the 175 HPDI.

Basically I can spin a 25M or a 24" TR04 ..... but then again you've got lower gears than I do ..... so you might be able to spin that 25M just fine. IDK.

Try raising that plate to 2 1/8" worth of seperation and see how she runs ..... just double check your water pressure to make sure you're good.

The 150 and 175 have nearly the same gear ratio. I think a 25m will be too much prop for the 150. Hole shot will definately suffer.
