I have a question concerning the auto locks on my 2008 20I. When I set the locks the plunger activates but you can pull on the lid on open it, the alarm does sound. Is this correct? Should i be able to open the lid? With lid open you can push the plunger down.

I have the same year and model boat. What you stated is not correct at all. When you put your code in all the compartments should lock and the alarm should activate. They should not open but if someone were to pry one of them open the alarm would go off.
From the best I can tell from reading on here and talking to people, the DMS system just sucks and I bet more than 90% of the i-class owners have had issues with them.
All of mine work with the exception of one compartment lid. I have had it adjusted and worked on several times but it just keeps messing up. I gave up on mine.
