Anyone mounted a Minn Kota Terrova to a ZX series Skeeter? If so how did you mount it? Looking at mine it seems that some kind of plate will have to be installed and the Terrova mounted to it. Maybe one of the Minn Kota quick disconnect plates would work.
Not enough room to get my big hands up under the bow to get the nuts and washers on plus the front mounting holes are about even with the gunnel.
You don't use nuts and bolts when mounting a trolling motor buddy,,, depending on the size trolling motor you use 4 or 6 isolator mounts with supplied bolts,,, you position tm then mark and drill for the isolator mounts,tap them in then position tm and bolt it down,,,,isolators are like expanding rubber anchor mounts

Well buddy,,,, Minn Kota begs to differ with you. They would surley know how the trollong motor in question should be mounted. They sent bolts with washers with lock nuts. Their instruction state to install using the included bolts, washers and lock nuts. I am well aware of isolation mounting anchors.
I was told from my boat mechanic after doing it backwards that on an aluminum hull you need to use the nuts and bolts. On a fiberglass hull you will use the isolators. Not sure if he was correct or not....
Yeah was just trying to say how it's done , I don't have terrova knowledge after all ,,,I only have a 200zx with a big 109 digital tour motor guide that I installed on my skeeter , I can only guess motor guide does things different
I have a 2003 zx 250 with a terrova mounted. I didnt use any plate, what i did was superglued the washer to the nut and used a long wrench, put the nut in the box end of the wrench and stuck the wrench in hull, looked through holes that i drilled with flash light to line up the nut, then put screw in hole used a cordless drill to tighted up while i held the wrench. Been on for over 3 years no problem with it getting loose
