    Oil tank cap gasket

I need a rubber gasket for my oil tank cap. Everytime I trailer it leaks some. Any idea who might have one? I know I could make one if all else fails but I'd like to find the one that fits it. Thanks......Rich

Re: Oil tank cap gasket (NE14BASS)

I always got some oil around my cap - tank area, don't really think it leaked. If I'm correct the caps are vented......

What I did was take the top of an old sock cut it to about 4" the rolled it up around the cap, I have to change it once a year due to the oil residue.

mine leaks also, no matter how tight it is, there always seems to be some oil on top of the reservoir in the bilge

Yes the caps are vented, I had the smae problem with mine, had the dealer look at it and put another vent hose on the tank, still leaked . Started to not fill it up so much, and what do you know, problem solved .
