    TRAILER HUB SLINGING GREASE OUT

My factory bearing buddy, or whatever skeeter calls it, is slinging grease out. I don't think it's overfilled, because it's been a while since they were greased, and it just started. I've cleaned it up to inspect it, but I can't figure out why it would be doing that. Anyone else had this happen? Had a bunch of these, and this is the first problem I've had.

Yes mine seems to always sling some in the front , if it's behind the wheel your seals are shot

This is all over the front, so the rear seal, at least, is fine. I wonder how much skeeter charges for a replacement? Even if it were overfilled, it looks like it would quit at some point.

    thanks

Had the same thing happen to the set on my old stratos trailer. Pulled the hubs off and disassembled them, cleaned all of the grease out (previous owner mixed auto and marine grease). Replaced the grease fittings and refilled them with marine grease and everyhting worked great.

Don't know what it was but it fixed itself.

Just get you a whole new hub assembley for about 40bucks and be done with it!

    Well, This may help someone.

I cleaned off all the grease under and around the pop off cap and around the center trim piece. After I put the cap back on, I simply pushed it in. Excess grease came out around the cap. I wiped it off and I've pulled it twice with no more grease. I guess it was slightly overfilled. They say to fill it up until the cap starts to move. I think it must be a good idea to push it back in a little, to seal it again.

    thanks for the input
