i have a 96 zx 200 that has a 200 efi merc and a 6 inch jackplate and a 25 pitch trophy prop, this is what it came with. I was wondering what anybody else is running, does it need a bigger jackplate? i am going to run a 24 pitch tempest plus on it tommorow but i think that wil be to small
10 - 12" will make a big difference. the trophy's run well with this hull, but a 24 is too small and you don't want to be revving that motor especially if the oil injection is still hooked up! the 25+ pitch tempest works best where i'm from. also there has been a lot of talk about the new fury props. good luck
Most with that hull-engine have a 10-12 inch plate (as mentioned) with a 25 pitch and run 2.5-3 below pad...I am on my 2nd ZX200...

great site, since i just put the 24 on i will have to take it easy tommorow, i guess that i will be looking to trade for a 25 pitch, i might have a trade for a26 pitch tempest + that might be to big?
it ran with more bow lift and came out of the hole pretty good , but i did run some high rpms, so i guess i am looking for a trade up to the 25.
Have a 94 200zx with a 2.5l merc. It has a 12" jackplate and running a 24p fury, Had the heads cut by Jay Smith for better hole shot torque
i have a 6 inch jackplate but i am looking for a 12, can you tell me what brand of jackplate that these earlier skeeters came with, it is black but i cant find no name on it ? it also came with a 25 pitch trophy prop that has skeeter etched into it.
