Loose Wire VMAX150

Hello, looking for some help with a loose wire. About half way down the motor on the right inner side is a wire that connects back to the motor running upwards. I think its a ground wire and it has a round circle end. The screw that holds it backed out and I found a spring in the whole. Anyone know what the wire goes to or the part number for the screw. The motor runs and cranks fine so i'm not sure what the wire could be to.

snap a pic if you can pointing to the wire and i'm sure someone will have a better idea.

Looks like a ground wire. When i get home this evening and no one has figured it out i can look at mine and tell you where it connects.

Looks like a ground strap that I have mounted underneath a zerks grease fitting. Here is a picture on a 2000 150 OX-66.
