    Re: zx series (HeadHunter9)

My guess would be $35k to 40k+ depending on options/accessories.

thanks guys, I was thinking skeeter was trying to lower the prices on the zx series since they only have certain color options now and so on and have the i class and the fx series boats

Saw one last week for 42k. They now have the rocker switches on the console. Seems like they down graded something else from my 09 boat.

I was unaware that Skeeter went to the cookie cutter color options. There are only 12 factory mandated colors to choose from & 75% of them have a RED in it.
The only cost reduction is on their end. A down grade here & a down grade there & the ZX series will be at the bottom of the pile, at the same price.
One ray of hope is that, in the future, Skeeter intoduces the NEW ZX.

Personally, The rocker switches are the primary reason I went with a ZX. If a switch goes bad, I just lose that switch. If the keypad shorts out, you lose all of your switches.

the things that you all have mentioned are not all the down grades that have happened with skeeter. all of which make me not think so highly of them now that i have become a skeeter owner. some options that have also changed is: no more marathons. they have gone to the carlisles (even on the fx). tie down straps in the back are no longer ratchet type on the zx's i believe (they do come on the fx). the front winch is a cheaper version. that is all that i can remember right now.

One of the primary reasons I like my TZX 190 over the newer ZX 190's. If I only had the rear deck storage compartment size of the newer ZX 190's that would be the bomb.

I think you can still order a custom color ZX. Maybe they just went to color packages to make it easier for the dealers to order inventory and make their production run a bit smoother.

    Re: zx series (Neilslure)

Buddy of mine just got his custom colored Skeeter ZX225 with 225SHO. Some of the standard equipment are now options but the prices now include upgrades like 2 Humminbird Fish finders one being color, GPS and InterLink; MinnKota Maxxum 101 Standard several. One thing is you can choose the option upgrades you want and not have to buy the ones you don't. Some people don't need all the bells and whistles so Skeeter allows each to choose the accessoroes or options they want.

Sure you can still get custom colors, but have you seen the cost for doing that??? It's hundreds of dollars for every little thing you change.
