I have a new to me 2004 zx 225 and the speedometer dont work. (which I know is normal and they arent accurate when they do work) I like things to function so I am trying to figure where the pickup is for the speedometer so I can clean it out and see if that is the problem. Any help would be greatly apprieciated!
It is a tiny hole on the forward edge of the lower unit, just above the cone.
Spin a small drill bit in there by hand. It is most likely filled with wood pulp from a stick that you ran over.

Get used to that being an everyday thing keeping that thing working....mine worked for about 2 weeks. hasn't worked since.
