Anybody have one of these or actually seen one? How does it compare in quality to the Cabelas Guidewear or the BPS 100MPH or Pro Qualifier suits.
Thanks in advance. Mike![]()

the 100 mph is much better but 250 more dollars
Got one during the special a while back...it does not compare to any gortex foul weather gear, bibs or jacket...wore mine once.
My best advise on raingear.....if it ain't Gortex, don't buy it. Just my opinion.
I shelled out the money on a BPS Gortex suit and haven't regretted it once. I've watched my brother-in-law (tourny partner) shell out 30 bucks here and 40-50 there on other brands and still be soaked.
Do yourself a favor and buy a Gortex suit. You will not regret it.

Hey man, I am in your same boat and looking at suits and making sure I get what I want. I am REALLY doing my homework before I buy: Here is what I found out so far: Skeeter suits from Hicorp look awesome but do not perform well. The Bass Pro 100mph suits have good reviews but are very pricey.
The best one I have seen for the money is the Cabela Guidewear suits but now I am debating on the insulated or uninsulated. They have a very slim amount of these suits in stock right now and a lot of sizes and colors are not in stock. The bibs also are available in short, regular or tall if you need to fine tune your length. I am 99% sure this is what I am going with.

I have owned every type of raingear imagineable and Goretex is absolutely the only way to go. I recently bought the Skeeter rain set and am very happy. Not much insulation, but I bought a size too big so I can wear it over layers if needed. Very waterproof.
Mother Nature and I don't get along too well, and I love to fish, soooooo, I buy the best rain suits money can buy and then I go fish.
I have a BPS Goretex suit which they no longer make, keeps me dry (except for I have a habit of unzipping the jacket, so I get a little wet). After a few years of Hard use mine is showing some wear. Next suit will either be 100 MPH or guidewear.

Cabelas Guidewear ; think it is very good value and excellent quality..have the insulated jacket and bibs..4th year..still like new and still keeps me dry and warm.
For light weight ( un-insulated) I use the Cabelas "dry plus"...same excellent quality as Guidewear...savings on some of both now...
Haven't tried the Skeeter raingear. But love my 100 mph suit. The pro qualifier seems to be just as good though![]()

After reading here and other sites decide to pick up the Guidewear. Did not like the idea of having big yellow bagges advertizing for someone that was not paying my way. Went to store to try on sizes and they were out of my size. Also did not like the zipper, was very hard to opperate on the legs. Went online while they were $70 off but only had one color. The cabela product manager said they were unsure as to what the new product would be. If you read all the comments almost everyone says the zipper was not the greatest.
This week was able to stop at cabelas again even after being told by Cabela's product support that the store did not have anymore guidewear and there they were All size and new zippers with the same product number.
Was able to get the new Guidewear for 2010 with the updated zippers. And sence it was online for reduce price they gave it to me for that price.Looks great and will use this weekend. Looking forward to being dry. It also appears the new leg zippers are longer than before also.
Cabelas Guidewear, and you will be bone-dry. Only negative, is the tunnel zippers, (water-proof) are hard to zip.....
