2007 E-Tec 225 HO - Reliability

Hi guys - I have always been a Merc guy, but I am considering a Z20 with a 2007 225 HO E-Tec on the back. Are there any specific issues I should look out for? This particular engine has about 50 hours on it (pro's boat). I am torn between this engine and the Merc 225 ProXS. Cost and fuel consumption are NOT factors. My #1 issues is dependability and reliability. I want something that will get me back to the dock every time. I know all brands have issues, but some more than others!

Are there any recent updates for the 2007's? This was an early 2007 build.

My tx partner has a 2007 e tec 225 and the only problem so far is he blew 2 lower units, first one they claimed he hit something and bent prop shaft,which I found out was true when i picked up his prop from prop guy who said that he had better check prop shaft cause prop was bent to heck.(looking at prop it looked fine execpt one little dink.Next one blew apart running down middle of bayou that is 25 foot deep.They warrantied that one.Other than that it runs fine.But he is talking about the Z20 and getting another one with a different engine.I think all motors will have some kind of glitch when they are new.Sorry this is so long
