help 94 skeeter 200zx

HELP PLEASE ,,,new to bassboating here and bought a 94 skeeter 200zx with a 200 johnson venom on it,,, boat came with a 4 blade 13.25 X 29 SS prop on it also a 3 blade 14.5 X 28 SS spare prop ,,,,,, we can't seem to "get out of the hole" when we try too,,, have tried full throttle, trim down, bow comes up but never goes down on plane( i shouldnt say never , it has gone done a few times if i ride long enough with throttle full) i have switched to the 3 blade prop and NEVER planed and throttle would only go up to 2000 rpm,,,,,, am i looking at motor issues or prop issues here???? when i did get it on plane the few times with the 4blade 13.25x29 i got it up to 60mph

Jomo,
You are way over proped. See if you can get your hands on a 25 tempest or a raker prop in a 24 or 25 pitch. I am guessing you were running about 4800-5000 rpm when you did get the boat up on plane.

As previously responded, you are way over propped. I run a 94 skeeter 200zx with a 200 xri Merc. Even though I run a paralift jackplate, holeshot is not as good as one might like. I have had my best results with a 25 tempest. I have also run a 24 trophy with slow but acceptable hole shot, but with great top end handling characteristics. I can get 5800 rpms with either prop with the paralift.

ok so you've posted in three different forums and got the same answer about your prop....watcha gonna do? just teasin ya.
If your props are in good shape you could sell them in the props 4 sale forum and get yourself a 25 raker or something in that same forum and have some money left over.... just a suggestion.

LOL i will take pics soon for sure and post thanks for all the input on this ,,,after speaking to prop shops on this too i am thinking i should go with a 4 blade 25 or 26 even,,, i wish i had someone near me to lend me some to "zero" my boat in for my conditions before spending the money on new one but it is what it is i guess bassboating aint for the poorman LOL can make u one though again ty guys for all input and will let u know how this turns out

i got a 25 renegade and problem solved ,,,got 65 @5800 not wot though lake was kind of busy,,,also got a 27 shooter i want to try to see if i can get to that 70mph mark,,,comes out of hole steady not like a rabbit but it will do,,,,,,,,,,how and where do i post pics??? the ones i took with my camera are like 1.5mb each then dont upload it seems
