Rod Strap Cord

I just got a spool of 50ft. of the bungee cord used for the rod straps on my skeeter. If anyone needs some, let me know because I have a TON left over.

I got it at McMaster Carr. I have a friend who works there and got me a 50 yard spool (smallest they sell it in).

pbmang, I knew mine were going to need replacing soon, and yesterday one snapped on me. If you still have enough cord for 2, I'm interested. I'm willing to pay whatever is a reasonable amount for 2 pieces of strap. I've replaced mine 2x already and the boat is garaged when not in use. Can't they put something nicer than a rubber band on a $50k boat???? Ranger uses Rod Buckles....I bought some....too many mods for me in order to fit them.....

I wasn't asking for any payment, however I do appreciate it. If you still haven't received them then I'll send your money back. I have sent two sets to you, and checked my postage account to make sure I didn't forget. If you still haven't received any, let me know and I will send the $$$ back because I'm just about out .

I bought those as well, and couldn't believe that it wouldn't fit. i didn't realize how low the Skeeter gunnels were compared to other brands.

I know that Stratos have low gunnels, and a different setup for the rod straps, but still use the same rod buckle style strap. When this set breaks, I'll probably try and get the parts from stratos and see how hard it would be to modify them to fit the skeeters.

It seems to me that pb is trying to help people out and has sent the strapping. He has offered to send a refund if you don't or have not received it. What is the problem?

If you would have read my response, I would have been more than happy to refund your money, you just would have had to tell me if you received the straps or not. If you had told me you didn't get the straps, you would have your money sitting in your account right now.

Now I can't refund the money because there is a claim filed, and Paypal wants me to either provide proof I shipped (which I can't because I sent them in a plain envelope) or say I didn't ship them, which is not the case, and I'm sure will reflect badly on my account.

I have plenty of references on this site and others that I'm not trying to scam you out of your $10. Now paypal has my account on hold. If you can drop the claim, I will send you back the $10, and when the straps show up (assuming they haven't already) you can feel like an ass.

Real nice!!! Chris didn't ask anyone for money and you decide to send $10. and then because you apparently didn't receive the cord you file a PayPal account and screw up Chris' account for ten dollars?

I'm asking that you cancel the claim with PayPal ASAP so that Chris can use his account......I've also sent you an email to this effect.

technically no refund should be given since you sent money to someone who wasn't asking for any...kinda like getting something in the mail you didn't ask for

Thanks guys. I went ahead and refunded the $10 through the resolution center of Paypal. I had some money in there I needed to get to, and didn't want paypal to freeze it all

Just to finish this up.....I had emailed Jason and asked that he cancel his PayPal claim asap so that Chris could use his PayPal account and we'd get this sorted out.

I got a "reply" from Jason and he said that he was "cancelling his BBC account" this evening. Guess you can't resolve things all the time.
