    Happy father's day to me...........unbelievable!

Leaving names out........today was at the shop with my boat (close relatives). I'm inside on the phone looking out at my boat that was sitting outside airing out from Saturday's rain. Watched a guy with a 5 gal bucket of what turned out to be GAS, walk behind my boat and dumped a small amount (GAS) on the gravel beside my boat @ 6ft. away. Turns out "HE" wasn't sure what was in the bucket, so "HE" was gonna "test" it. After dumping some on the ground he set the 3/4 full bucket of GAS 3ft. from the "test" site. He LIGHTS the "test" site with a match which in turns traces it's (FIRE) way back to the bucket of GAS. That in turn engulfs in flames! "HE" (the fire starter) then tries to kick the bucket full of GAS out of the way which spills over. The bucket of GAS turns into a "Fire bomb" rolling all over the place. (It had a plastic lid on it with the spout) I'm standing there in shock, should I save the guy or my boat??? He's standing in the flames trying to kick the "FIRE BOMB" away from my boat. I thought it was gonna explode like a Napalm bomb. I called 911. In his haste to kick the FIRE BOMB away from my boat, he kicked it under his pick-up truck which was parked 15 or so feet from my boat (parallel). The truck caught on fire, driver side cab. He jumps in his truck to pull it away from the flames. Looked like the movie "Christine". Got the fire out, his truck is torched!!! (Paint/trim) The "only" damage to my boat is the carpet on my starboard side storage compartments are melted (Lids were open on back of boat airing out) I was in shock. If your gonna "TEST" is one thing...........GET AWAY FROM $50,000 boats!!!!!! I have a 07' ZX250................STILL!!!

    what an idiot!

Put a drop on a stick and light it to see if it catches....or pour some in a styrofoam cup see if it melts.

Sorrry to hear about your carpet

I feel sorry for anyone who walks on the back of my boat........bare footed. They're gonna slice they're feet open. I'm STILL in disbelief..............@ a 1/2 hour earlier "HE" asked me if I thought it was gas. I smelled it and told him yea, guess he didn't believe me?

My good friend Steve is an emergency room doctor, but his clinic doesn't usually handle trauma cases like car wrecks, gunshots, etc. Usually just broken bones, lacerations, fish hooks in fingers, stuff like that. Except one night...

These drunk yahoos were out partying at Conroe (TX) lake, and built a small bonfire. They wanted it bigger and one of them decided pouring some gasoline on to the fire would help it along. He was wearing a satin baseball type jacket and some of the gas, as he was fixing to pour it, traveled out of the gas can and down his jacket sleeve. Then the gas got to the fire, trailed up the pour, hit the gas can and followed on to his polyester jacket sleeve. The sleeve instantly melted onto his skin, stayed aflame, and burned like 75% of the muscle tissue off the guy's arm. How they made it into the ER, Steve has no idea, but they had to send him to a hospital in Houston, where the poor boy lost his arm.

Gasoline and alcohol are not to be mixed, although that's fairly obvious to everyone here, right?

Re: Happy father's day to me...........unbelievable! (BMF ZX-250)

This happened out of pure stupidity and total lack of common sense and maybe just getting alittle "older" and not thinking but nothing else as far as alcohol, drugs or what ever. I wrote this out of disbelief or maybe just to "vent" some what anonymously and MAYBE a little humorous if you could look past the obvious? The thing is, he's standing in the flames trying to get the bucket away from my boat. More worried @ my boat. He Knows how damn "anal" I am about that boat!!! Glad "He" didn't get hurt or worst. Glad my Dad was o.k.
