    Livewell information.

    2008 Skeeter ZX190
I thought that I would come here for the advice of the experts. I just fished a two day club tournament. Luckly I had some fish both days....but ended up with a dead fish both days. No fish was hooked deep at all so that is not an issue.
I did what I thought was the best I could do for the fish, I left the livewell on "fill" all day long letting fresh water circulate through constantly. I only turned it off and put it on "recirculate" for the run to another spot, then I would turn the "fill" back on and the "recirc" off.
Let me know how you guys run your livewells in tournaments. The thought of having dead fish bothers me to no end.

Here's my thoughts specifically for summertime. Once I reach my fishing area I fill the livewell. This starts off with the coolest water of the day. Once I catch a fish I treat the water with Catch and Release or Rejuivinate. I then put it on "Auto Recirculate". The reason I do this is that I don't want the heated up surface water to be pumped in. I think the hot water is what kills them. As I get a full livewell and later in the day I bring lots of soda bottles that have frozen water in them. I start putting them in to cool the water down. The only time I have a fish die is if I hooked him deep.
