    Jackplate question 96 ZX180

I have a 4.5" no name manual JP on there now. Pro V 150. I looked thru all of the performance info on here and came to a conclusion. I cant pinpoint which amount of setback I need. The 6 or 8" will probably get the nod. Does the extra 2" make that much of a difference as far as setback? I understand the JP concept, but deciding which one will be difficult. (BTW If any of y'all have one for sale , manual. .LMK) thanks.

    Re: Jackplate question 96 ZX180 (ZX180MI)

When I was looking to put a jackplate on my 96 Skeeter ZX 180, I called and talked to Richard at Tiny's fiberglass. He told me that I didnt want to put anything more than an 8" jackplate. I asked him what brand he recommended he said that Skeeter only puts Slidemasters on their boats. So I Called up R&R Designs and talked to them. I went there and bought mine for 205. Great product. You might want to look into buying an E-Ladder that mounts on the jackplate. Just make sure you tell them you want the jackplate to come predrilled for the E-Ladder
    Good Luck
