I have a TZX 190 and am thinking about installing some brand of recessed foot pedal to go along with my new minnkota fortrex trolling motor. Some guys say that there is a stringer on this model boat that CAN NOT BE cut without damaging the structural integrity of the boat - some say it's no problem - namely the guys selling the tray. I've looked up under there and it does look like a stringer may be in the way, but I thought I'd ask for the wisdom of the Skeeter forum!

my suggestion would be to remove the front panel and stick a digital camera under there and take several pictures. I installed a Comfortroll brand on my 05 ZX 225 and it works great. Since you have a 190, I would suggest making sure you don't cut any cross stringers that run left to right, etc..
