God rest her soul, the oldest member of my father's family passed away last night. Lillian was 90 years old and lived a very full life. I didn't know my Grandmother on the Eisenbacher side. I was only a baby when she passed away. Aunt Lillian was the closest person I could say was a grandmother to me. From the pictures I've seen to Grandma's giving nature I was told about, Lillian and Grandma Eisenbacher were mirror images.
I will forever treasure the time I spent with Lillian, the wonderful fried chicken dinners, her doll houses she built, the smell of her house, exploring her farm as a young child, her loving hugs and the three patchwork quilts she gave to me. Ironically I was cold last night watching TV and had one of her quilts on me. Of 14 brothers and sisters, only 3 remain now. May she rest in peace.
