    Question needs answer

Can anyone tell me what speed a 2003 skeeter tzx 190 with a 2003 150 hpdi will do? I see alot of people saying there hitting 68mph which I find hard to believe. I had a 1999 skeeter zx 185c with a vmax carb 150 and would do between 55-59 mph I belive that boat was lighter than the new one.

Here is what I typically quote as a reliable source....the Yamaha performance bulletin. Take note of the load and conditions. (2 people and 80 degree air temps)

They show 58 at 5650 rpms.... So I'd say 60-62 with one guy and cooler temps which is what I typically hear from 150 owners.

I can tell you the TZX190 with a 150 won't do 68. I have ran 68 with my TZX and a 175 with a blueprinted prop and a lot of plate tinkering. I would say 60 to 63 with just one man and a medium to light load, add another guy and his gear and your gonna lose 2-3.

Re: Question needs answer (Bass Junkie)

i have seen 63 a couple times in the winter by myself turning 6050-6100 rpms. i can run 60 by myself in the summer time. both speeds with a full load. not bad for a 150. mines a carb motor though.
