I have a buddy who found a beautiful blue starfire thats in really good shape for its age, he is considering buying it but the previous owner said they can be a handful at 65mph and you really have to drive them. My question from him is what is he talking about, do they chine walk real bad or do they just get a mind of their own at speed, he doesn't want to be chopping on the wheel like a nascar driver.
I got a 91 175SF and I Love it! With mine the faster I go the smoother and easier the drive.
The starfire I had liked to pull to the right even after adjusting the trim tab, you really had to strong arm it at high speeds.
at 65 I can let go the steering wheel...at 66-67 it used to porpoise alot but doesn't anymore since I move my anchor to a rear compartment. (it used to be up front)
Depends on the setup and the driver and the equipment on board.
