ZX250 Walk thru help - 250 HPDI

Hello,

I need some help from the guys that have run Skeeters for a long time. I just stepped out of a Ranger and found a good deal on an older (2004 ZX250.) I'll look at the boat this weekend but want to know what to look for. I know there's always something to look for in every year, but I'm not sure what.

So far I've read about issues with...

- Digital control panel - is there a way to check it besides the basic on/off?
- Rub rail - not sure what to look for here?
- chips in gelcoat next to jack plate

Is there anything else I should look out for in this model year? I know there are a few little holes in the center seat, and it seemed like that was common for that model. Does skeeter charge quite a bit for that seat?

Anything to check on the trailer?

Any help you guys could offer would be great. Thanks in advance.

Just check all the functions on the touch pad control. (just check everything and make sure it works).
Rubrail? Only thing I know of there would be broken screws under the rubrail INSERT. Only one way to check that...pull out the insert and try to turn the screw heads with a screwdriver. Not something that can be done prior to purchase. BUT, not a big deal after purchase. Easy to check, and replace those if needed.

Gelcoat? Just look for chips all over. No different than any other boat. Inspect, Inspect.

Have them do a compression check on the motor.
