    Skeeter confession

I have to admit that when I get a wandering eye or start to think I may actually pull the trigger on another brand there is just something about a Skeeter that fits me. Its like its a part of my fishing personality. I have owned other brands and with the exception of a Ranger I have never been in a boat that I like as much as a Skeeter. I liked the Ranger but I LOVE a Skeeter. I like the way they fish, perform, look on the water, look on the trailer. Just a badass boat if you are a serious angler. Its like Skeeter is an attitude or something. The thought process and layout of my ZX250 is amazing. I guess we are what we are when it comes to boats and we all end up findig a brand we really love. I am on my fourth Skeeter and will try to stay in the Skeeter family nomatter what I do. I recently had an offer for a true demo deal from my dealer on a Legend and one of the reasons I walked away is because I could not bring myself to sell my Skeeter. They carry Skeeter, Ranger and Legend but for right now I am just stuck on my boat.It does everything I want and is setup and laid out perfectly for me. Not trying to sound funny I was just curious if anyone else feels the same as I do. There are other brands but only one that fits me and that is Skeeter.

Brand loyalty is cool. I like fishing out of all of them. I like to go fast the same day. The Skeeters are a the whole package and I like them too.

I've been told more than once that it looks fast sitting still.
Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day

Teach a man to fish, he will complain that you stole his fishing spot.

I've only owned a Stratos before my Skeeter so I can't speak for other boats. But I love everything about my boat and will be a Skeeter owner for life...If I was to win a boat, I'd sell it and buy a new Skeeter with the money...

    Re: Skeeter confession (wildkat7)

Ive had a Nitro, A Ranger, A Javelin, and now the Skeeter.

I was at divisional last year and the stator went on my Javelin. Stranding me about 35 miles from the ramp. I called my wife from the water and said call the finance company the boat picutre thats on my desktop I am buying that boat. I had a 20I within 5 days of returning from divisionals. The Javelin sold within 12 hours of being advertised after I fixed it, and I have never looked back!

The only other assembly line boat I would consider is a Stratos. I love my 20I and they have been taking great care of me with the small issues I had. I get to pick her up next friday from Extreme Marine in Texas, and head to Amistad and then 5 days on Falcon. There is something about a skeeter that juist fits me as well. Now I cant wait to get her out at sea level for some big fishes!

    Re: Skeeter confession (bigskeeter20i)

Face it...dat boat brand is one sexy dog!
(been there but the more I looked at those others for 20 years off and on...the more I came back to dat sexy dog gone boat style with the great layout, my bad..or good)
No Skeeter dealer within 60 miles of here but nearly all the new or newer boats are Bugs...I have been to the factory and fished the SOT on Fork 2x...because I can't help myself.
Don't get me started on EZL trailers though...

    Re: Skeeter confession (Tagg007)

I am on my fourth Skeeter also.....Thanks to KD at Plano Marine I move up from a 90's ZX that was a great boat to a '06 21i.....it is one great boat....plenty of room for a 6'8" angler.....great ride....and plenty of power from the new S2 V-Max...the lay out is awsome....and it is one slick lookin gal...red, white, and black with the black bottom....like Mark P stated....it looks good where ever it is....I tell everyone that I might not be able to catch any fish but I'll look good doing it in my Skeeter....
